Traveling Stash and some wins

Wow! I have been so lucky lately...... I won another Traveling Stash and a few other goodies, like this pretty red fabric and the Riley Blake Bake Sale. I also won this sweet pincushion and awesome wine charm.

Just look at what came in my Traveling Stash this time!

Lots of wonderful fabric including a large stack of charm squares, some koala and kangaroo fabric and some hearts ready to be ironed on and appliqued. There are also a couple quilt patterns and several embroidery patterns, some purse handles, a 3 inch Kanzashi flower maker and a 5 inch hexi ruler ! (I wish this had come before I bought a hexi ruler for the hexi hop!)  I decided to keep the Kanzashi flower maker, a quilt pattern and a couple pieces of fabric:

I added into the box a couple quilt patterns and some fabric:

Stamp it Up Blog Hop

This hop has been amazing so far....have you seen all the creativity? Wow and double Wow!

A big thanks to Thearica from Pig Tales and Quilts our head cheerleader, Mdm Samm who comes up with these wonderful blog hops and  our sponsor  Red Rooster.

I decided to go with a sewing theme with a coffee cup for my stamp.  TX in a western style font for my new home state of Texas, rope design around the edge and 7c for 7 cents postage. I chose 7 because our wedding anniversary is 7/7 and we have 7 kids (all grown now). I used jumbo rickrack around the edges for the stamp look. I quilted it with a star shape since the Texas song goes "the stars at night are big and bright, deep in the heart of Texas". Here is my little 8 1/2 inch square stamp:

Time for a very creative Blog Hop. There were very little guidelines to this hop. Just design a "postage stamp" block with any design, your state or city, and the price of the postage. This is going to be a FUN hop !  Here is the schedule. FYI this is the last hop til the end of July for SewWeQuilt.com (a little family summer time for all of us hoppers!)

      Welcome Back!

Sew happy you have come to visit! Today is my turn to show my Tammy Bags. Only finished two, although I have 3 handles and fabric for my third....
My first Tammy bag is my makeup bag for on my bathroom counter. The outer pockets keep everything I use every day ready and easily accessible. Then if we are traveling, just pop it all inside. With a few extras that aren't used as often in the inner pockets, I'm ready to go in no time! The inside is made from some fabric sold at Joanns in their baby department. They call it PLC and it's primarily used for bibs and diaper covers because it's water resistant and wipes clean. This made a lot of sense for my makeup bag that has many opportunities to need to be wiped clean. It's very easy to sew and I've used this type of fabric to make several bibs for my  three nephews babies.

My second bag is my sewing project bag. It normally sits next to my machine, with many sewing accessories like scissors, pinking shears, rulers, pencil, stilleto, etc. I've also attached my antique needle case to the handle with some ribbon. I love to keep my embroidery needles in this little needle case. The inside is filled with my pretty Prescenia embroidery thread, needle threaders, extra pins, and a small embroidery project. There is plenty of room for more!

Please be sure to stop by my fellow creators for today:
