What a Wicked Good Time!

I hope you have been enjoying the Wicked Blog Hop! It's been  fun seeing all the creativity! Today is my turn to show what I have made, but first I want to thank Madame Samm and Wendy for all they do for us. Thanks to our sponsors (Wyndham Fabrics, Reliable IRON, and Bird Brain Designs ) for their generosity!
My first project was a couple of zip pouches, a Monster and Black Cat.

My next project was a miniquilt for my Ackfeld hanger in my dining room.
A haunted house complete with bats and spiders and spider webs.

It is on the hanger, but due to uncooperative weather and unWicked background,
I add a starry night draped in the hanger.

Since I finished my planned projects earlier than expected, I decided to make a little Mummy zip pouch to go with my Monster and Black Cat.

Be sure to visit the other Wicked creators today:
          October 29th

The full schedule is in my previous post, if you have missed any of the Wicked days!
Thanks for stopping by, I enjoy visitors!

I have a giveaway for all my followers who leave a comment.
Please include how you follow me in your comment.
and answer the question : Do you own an Ackfeld hanger?

What is the giveaway you ask???.....
I'm going to be a little Wicked and keep that a surprise!

Are you ready for some Wicked?

I am wickedly happy to be participating in this Wicked Blog Hop. I've done a few Ghastlie blocks that will be put together for a lap quilt. The first one is 4 six inch squares that will make a 12 inch block:

The next three are each 12" squares.

I also tried another paper piecing. I saw a photocopy of this mummy and did a quick sketch. I'm not sure the original artist, but was told at my LQS that it was from an old Halloween QAL. If anyone knows the original artist, please let me know so I can give credit. Update: Marjory says the block is from : http://artisania.wordpress.com/2010/09/23/the-halloween-quilt-of-awesomeness. Thanks Marjory!  I added some ragged edges here and there and alternated white and off-white fabric to give him a more realistic look, then used a black starry background. (BTW those cute pumpkins are handmade by me from paper twist with handpainted faces. The little ghost with cat and pumpkin are handmade by me also of fabric and pompoms)

My last square is machine appliqued (the pumpkin, which is a pattern, resized 60%,  by Sewn into the Fabric) and the bat is my own design. This is my first attempt at machine applique. (up til now I only owned a 80 yr old machine that only had a straight stitch. My new machine isn't fancy but it does more than a straight stitch).

Thanks to Wendy for organizing all this Wickedness and to Madame Samm, to whom we all owe a debt of thanks for getting us all started at SewWeQuilt.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of the hop.
