I worked on two projects. First, a super cute snowman pleated zip bag. I love how the striped fabric peeks out from the pleats. The inside is peppermint candies. Sorry the photo doesn't show the inside pockets, or the cute snowflake topstitching on the striped fabric. This is the first time I have made a zip bag, so other than adding inside pockets, I didn't change the pattern. Now that I have the pattern down, I know my next one will have a ruffle. Sorry for the indoor photos, rainy days didn't allow for outdoor photos.
This cute pattern and a terrific video tutorial is available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CU6CwzfoTc and http://www.pattydoo.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/pattydoo_pouch_pattern.pdf
My second project is a cute fabric bowl. It was so much fun to make and so easy with just a zig zag stitch on the sewing machine. I know I will be making many of these in the future.
Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteYour purse is beautiful! I also love making fabric bowls, they are sew handy for lots of things. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe bag is very cute. I do have a slight fear for zippers, so this tutorial will be patiently waiting for me.... The fabric bowl is gorgeous too....so many uses for that one! Unfortunately I do not have the zigzag down yet.... I do almost everything by hand and the machine only gets to do straight stitching..... Thank you for showing the tutorials, I will have to overcome some fears!
