I picked some pretty fall fabrics and had BIG plans..... then our vacation came (we arrived home Monday morning around midnight and we both had to get up at 5:30 am for work). Vacation was wonderful, spent with family and friends. Unfortunately since I was trying to finish a full size quilt and make blocks for this blog hop, I didn't get as many blocks done as I had planned. (I did get a little more than 2/3 of the full size flimsy done and 3 blocks for the hop between visits with family and friends, and quilt/fabric shopping with my sister).
It was fun creating these blocks.
Warm Feelings
This first square is part of a BOM from a local quilt shop. They are teaching how to use Perfect Templates. It was a fun block that my DH named for me "Warm Feelings"
Fall Harvest
This is my second square. I call it Fall Harvest. The block design I saw on Dots on Dots blog hop. I knew as soon as I saw it, I wanted to try it in my fall fabrics.
Pumpkin Harvest
My last block is paper pieced. I really became hooked on paper piecing when we tried Regina Grewe's Piling Up paper piece pattern for the Bowls with Borders blog hop. I wanted to do a wagon with pumpkins, but couldn't find a pattern. So I tried my hand at designing my own. Everything except the wagon wheels is paper pieced. The wagon wheels are yoyo's with button centers. I love it and will most likely finish it to hang on my table topper frame. The other blocks will be saved to make my "blog hop quilt".
I do have giveaway for any followers who leave a comment.

ReplyDeleteYa soy seguidora tuya. Gracias por mostrar tus trabajos.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours in your Warm Feelings block and the quilt block design. They are just stunning. Never apologise for not having done as much as you wanted. Sadly life gets in the way of our sewing. The quilt/quilt block I used for my entery in the blog hop http://spoiltdogquilts.blogspot.com.au/ is one that was started in 1999 and finally completed in 2005/2006, something like that. But I so loved the feature print which I used in my row of blocks and in the outside border, that I entered in this blog hop.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
